Basic Motorcycle Boot Cleaning
When you buy a pair of new motorcycle boots they always look nice. Part of the appeal when you
bought your motorcycle boots is that they looked good and felt good. The more you wear your
motorcycle boots, the more comfortable they will be. The leather softens and they begin to
conform to your foot. The way your motorcycle boot looks will not improve the more you wear
them. The more you use them, the dirtier they will get. The streets you ride your motorcycle
on are not clean and your boots will not stay clean. This will especially be true in bad weather.
Basic motorcycle boot cleaning includes the following:
Using a leather conditioner will reduce the risk of your leather motorcycle boots cracking and
splitting. Motorcycle boots with finished leather can be buffed with pantyhose to bring out the
leather’s shine. If there is suede on your motorcycle boots, do not use soap. Use a suede brush
to clean suede on motorcycle boots.
